Stained Glass Quilt Blocks

Product Description

Patchwork quilts are one of the most expressive forms of American folk art.  In pioneer days, very little was discarded. Frugal homemakers saved the best parts of worn clothing and stitched patchwork quilts for warmth and comfort. Each stitched quilt block was an art form of what pioneer women experienced and observed while farming, gardening, childrearing, cooking, clothes washing and the many other daily tasks of homemaking.

Common patchwork quilts that speak of a woman's daily life are The Carolina Lily, Dutch Tulip, Geese in Flight, Sunrise, Corn and Butterbeans, Log Cabin, Windmill, Friendship Star and Maple Leaf. Enjoy hanging a stained glass replica of these quilts in your windows. Approximately 3" x 3" in size. Handcrafted by artists Joanna Lengle and Elizabeth Anderson.
